The Ranger traditional base-plate compass features a detachable safety-release lanyard, luminous markings for night navigation, a DryFlex grip for easy handling, and comes with a use-anywhere declination scale inside the capsule.
A magnifying lens and base plate map-measuring in mm and scales of 1:50,000 and 1:25,000 makes map work a breeze.
The lanyard has dual scales (1:25k and 1:50k) so you can lay it along the route for an estimate of distance to travel.
