McEwings Christchurch

McEwings opened our speciality ski & board hire store at 200 Yaldhurst Road in 1993, as an extension to the iconic Cashel Street store.

In 2025 we opened our summer watersports division, carrying a full range of watersports gear from leading brands.

McEwings Methven

Previously known as Alpine Sports and before that Wombats Ski Shop, Alpine Sports became part of McEwings in
2024. And now it is called

McEwings Methven.

This is our McEwings Super Store, offering a full winter snow sports experience and year-round outdoor gear and clothing.

We offer the full package across both ski & board, with a lean towards freedide/backcountry and bootfitting.

But we have solid roots in on-piste performance, as New Zealands original Augment and Van Deer Red Bull retailer.
