WAKEBOARDS
Wakeboarding is a high-octane, adrenaline-inducing mix of water skiing, surfing, and snowboarding. It can be fast and furious, but the good news is that it’s surprisingly easy to get to grips with the basics – total newbies can be up and wakeboarding within a few hours.
From learning the basics of stance and balance, through mastering jumps, spins and flips – we have a full range of wakeboards to get you ripping it up in no time!
| Weight Range (kg) | Board Length (cm) |
| Under 45kg | Under 130 |
| 40 – 65 | 130 – 134 |
| 60 – 85 | 135 – 139 |
| 75 – 100 | 140 – 144 |
| 95+ | 145+ |

Wakeboard Sizing Guide
Like a water ski, the length of the board is generally matched to the rider’s weight. Kids will generally start on shorter boards as they will find them easier to handle when swimming towards the rope in the water, however a shorter will be less stable and harder to control when riding.
Manufacturers will have a recommended weight-range for their boards and this may differ due to differences in shape, profile, width/shape and construction.
Your riding style is also something to consider. Some people choose to ride longer or shorter than the recommended range.
Wakeboard Boots
Wakeboards are set up with wake boots to provide a solid connection between the rider and the board. They typically accommodate a range of foot sizes with higher-performance boots often having a narrower range to give a more customised fit and will use higher end foams, fabrics and lacing systems to provide that locked in feel to help really drive that board.
Wakeboards and boots are generally purchased as a wakeboard-boot package pitched at the intended use and budget. View our range online or come and talk to us to find the best option for you.

Riding shorter
In general, shorter boards are slower and take more effort to push through the water. This is because, the more surface area the board has on the water, the faster it will move across the surface. Also, landings are a bit harder on a shorter board, than on a longer board. On the other side, with a shorter wakeboard it’s easier to do spins and air tricks.
The benefits of a shorter board are all about the smaller size. Less weight = more airtime! And it makes flips and spins easier. Shorter boards are also much faster edge-to-edge and faster in the turn. But…. with less float there is more drag, so it takes a lot more energy and upper body strength to ride short and the landing aren’t as forgiving.
Riding longer
A longer wakeboard is easier to ride and will make for softer landings because of the increased surface area. Also, it will give you more control because of the larger surface area. However, because longer boards are heavier, you have to work harder with air tricks.
Longer boards deliver softer landings (better for dodgy knees!), better float and more surface area to get the best out of the board’s flex pattern. But… a longer board will be slower edge-to-edge, harder to flip & spin and harder to invert due to the boards greater weight and surface area grip.
